Elvira Alic is a social worker, model and activist in Melbourne, Australia. Her family are Bosnian muslims who fled the former Yugoslavia during the war, although she was raised primarily in Australia and is multi-lingual. Elvira works tirelessly to highlight the possibilities for people with disabilities. She has had spinal muscular atrophy since birth, a degenerative disease. Elvira has appeared on television, in print journalism, and in film.
